Tips for writing great posts that increase your site traffic

Write about something you know. If you don’t know much about a specific topic that will interest your readers, invite an expert to write about it.

Speak to your audience

You know your audience better than anyone else, so keep them in mind as you write your blog posts. Write about things they care about. If you have a company Facebook page, look here to find topics to write about

Take a few moments to plan your post

Once you have a great idea for a post, write the first draft. Some people like to start with the title and then work on the paragraphs. Other people like to start with subtitles and go from there. Choose the method that works for you.

Don’t forget to add images

Be sure to include a few high-quality images in your blog. Images break up the text and make it more readable. They can also convey emotions or ideas that are hard to put into words.

Edit carefully before posting

Once you’re happy with the text, put it aside for a day or two, and then re-read it. You’ll probably find a few things you want to add, and a couple more that you want to remove. Have a friend or colleague look it over to make sure there are no mistakes. When your post is error-free, set it up in your blog and publish.

If you’ve just commissioned a new app for your burgeoning SME over the coming months, you’ll likely want to know how best to get the word out through savvy marketing techniques. Take a look at our useful guide below, with hints and tips on how to align your app’s seamless UI and customer ready UX with a promotional campaign that will maximise downloads and engagement this summer. Influencer marketing While your core audience built through your website or offline channels will likely be fairly established at this point, reaching out to influencers to showcase app features and functionality can be a great way to connect to those who haven’t engaged with your brand as yet. Especially useful if you’re looking to attract a younger user demographic through social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, building authentic, long-term partnerships with people who truly get behind what you’re trying to achieve can pave the way for exciting growth. Start your own podcast With a recent survey by Statista Research Department revealing that one in three people aged between 26 and 35 listen to podcasts on a weekly basis, creating a podcast series to break down the core feature and aims of your app can give you room to give your audience all the information required. This could be incorporated as a series of episodes with the goal of building anticipation before app launch, and can even be established as an ongoing medium for communicating with users as you release important updates, or simply to answer any queries they may have about functionality. Improve visibility through app store optimisation (ASO) One of the challenges of promoting your app as a growing business is that word of mouth and even consistent social media messaging may only go so far when looking to your app as a viable means of revenue generation. This is where ASO comes in. Unless your company operates in a decidedly niche sector, the chances are you will be going up against several established industry names. ASO can give you a head start through driving more traffic to your download page by ranking higher in search results; app name and title, keywords, description, download numbers and reviews can all play a role in determining where you rank in search results. As you can see, getting your app seen is often about understanding who your audience are, who you want to target with your app, and perhaps most importantly, considering which medium is the best way to attraction their attention.
